Path of Exile features a whole slew of items. Whether they’re worth absolutely nil or millions of PoE currency, it’s these items that are the focal point of the game; they will never go out of style. With such high demand, it’s no wonder that people are endlessly buying PoE orbs just to get these items. Some items offer better stats to your character while some give you the opportunity to speed up your character leveling process. Here are some items in Path of Exile that are worth spending a bit of coin on: 1. Tabula Rasa Defined as an empty or blank slate, Tabula Rasais an item that should be a staple in your inventory when it comes to everything related to leveling. It is a unique Simple Robe by normal terms, and it provides no defensive value whatsoever—let alone base values of a Simple Robe. While it is easy to dismiss this run-of-the-mill item, what makes it so special is that it has six linked white sockets. For leveling purposes, those six sockets are invaluable—more so that they are white-colored ones. A socket can come in four different colors: red, blue, green, and white. Red is associated with strength, blue embodies intelligence, and green is related to dexterity. White, however, is special. Having a white socket means that you can place a gem of any color that you’d like, thus enabling you to try all kinds of combinations without any restrictions whatsoever. For example, if you prioritize damage at an early stage, then simply put an attack gem with five support gems to deal lots of damage even if your character is just starting out. 2. Atziri’s Items Atziriis the final boss of The Apex of Sacrifice (map level 70) and The Alluring Abyss (map level 80) area. The Queen of the Vaalis considered to be one of the most challenging bosses in the game, having different phases at you try to trounce her. Her final form rivals endgame bosses in the game—defeating her is no easy feat at all! However, your hard work will be rewarded once you do overcome her. The unique items that she’ll drop are all valuable and sell for lofty amounts should you sell them off. Most notable among these is the fan favorite, Atziri’sDisfavour, a two-handed axe, which is among the most unique items that she drops. 3. Thousand Ribbons If you’re on a budget and can’t afford Tabula Rasa, then Thousand Ribbons is your next best bet. Like the Tabula Rasa, it is a unique simple robe/chest armor that provides a little bit of everything that the famed item has. You can purchase the Thousand Ribbons for 5 Chaos Orbs, but it can actually go for lower if you look for a player who’s willing to selling it. The unique robe provides you with a bit of resistance to everything and infuses your attacks and spells with extra elemental damage to give it some oomph. Overall, it’s a good alternative if you’re fresh off the boat. 4. Seven-League Step Seven-League Step is a pair of unique Rawhide boots. If you’ve got money to burn and want to go fast then these boots are definitely worth a go. With 15 Evasion at +20% in Quality, these are more than just the normal footsies that you’re used to. They give you 50% increased movement speed which is insane for traveling around the map by foot and dodging skillshots. The level requirement for these boots is 75 though and they’re on the expensive side, so take note! 5. Wanderlust Wool Shoes If you’re looking for a cheaper but almost the same version of the Seven-League Step, we recommend you check out Wanderlust Wool Shoes. While it only gives you a 20% increase in movement speed, the additional energy shield and 20-40% increase on your mana regeneration rate is something to consider. If you don’t have that much PoE currency or PoE orbs to spare, then rest assured that these wool shoes won’t burn a hole in your pocket.

Money makes the world go round, and for Gielinor, it’s OSRS gold. It’s true, you wouldn’t go far in Old School Runescape without much of the stuff. So to help you acquire your fair share of this crucial currency, here are a few tips you should follow. Mine and Mine Alone In real life, gold is mined in, well, gold mines. In Gielinor, while you can make gold through mining, you won’t be able to directly make one through the skill. Rather, you have to sell what you obtain from skilling mining in order to make gold. To earn gold out of mining, have it reach level 15 by mining Copper and Tin. Afterwards,you can mine Iron Ore, which you can then sell for up to 100,000 gold—depending on how efficient you are. To obtain as much ore as possible within an hour, there’s the Monastery Minefor members, and the East and West Varrock mines for non-members. Also, use the best pickaxe available to your level. Doing so will allow you to mine even faster. If you’re skilling at the Monastery Mine, get the Ardougne Cloak from the Ardougne Achievement Diariesso that you can teleport repeatedly to the Monastery. Once your inventory is full, just go to the nearby Ardougne bank. On the other hand, if you’re at theVarrock mines, it’s recommended that you first complete the Varrock easy tasks, as this will grant you a 10% chance of mining 2 Iron Ore at once. This, however, only works in Varrock. Down the Line On the other hand, if you’re not feeling like digging in mines all day, you might prefer fishing. Being by the water, waiting until some living thing bites your line is just oh, so relaxing. Do note, however, that out of all the catches you can have, you can only make gold out of lobsters and swordfish. It’s definitely not a quick way to earn gold, but if you don’t like the others because they’re too grind-y and dull, then stick to fishing. There’s really no way of making gold in as laid back a manner as this. There are lots of fishing spots across Gielinor, but the best ones are those close to banks. Some of the best examples are those in Caterbyand the Fishing Guild. Once you’ve caught the number of fishes you want to sell, you can either sell them as they are or cook them first. Doing the latter will fetch you more Old School Runescape gold. Art of the Deal Last but definitely not least, if you have the wits and confidence for it, you can do some player-to-player buying and selling. There’s no Runescape skill that can aid you in this particular endeavor, but a personal ability that requires much thinking, planning, and math. Be it in real life, Runescape, and other games of the same genre, it’s all about buying or gathering cheap yet sought-after items and then either selling (or reselling) them at a profitable price or creating in-demand items that are worth more than the raw materials. Nevertheless, some specs and settings suit the game better than others. Here’s how you should tweak your gaming station for you to make the most of your Eorzea adventures. Beyond the Bare Even though FFXIV is one of the least requirement-intensive games, its requirement –both minimum and recommended–have increased through the years. This means if you have been using a GPU below the NVidia GTX750–or Radeon R7 260X–it’s time that you replace it. Currently, these are the minimum specs for FFXIV: • Processor: Intel Core i5 2.4GHz • Memory: 3 GB RAM (4GB if 64-bit) • Graphics Card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GTX 750 • Graphics Card (AMD): AMD Radeon R7 260X If you noticed, these specs were already attainable during FFXIV’s release. However, back then, this was top-of-the-line hardware. But as tech advanced, then so did FFXIV’s demands. After all, you wouldn’t want your game to look the way it did back when it was first released. So if you’re satisfied with minimum requirements–and therefore minimum performance, you’re already good to go! As for the recommended specs, they are as follows: • Processor: Intel Core i7 3GHz • Memory: 8GB • Graphics Card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GTX 970 • Graphics Card (AMD): AMD Radeon RX 480 For the recommended specs, you’ll notice that the GPU models didn’t exist when the game was first released. So if you want smooth gameplay and have enough money or FFXIV currency – we don’t mean FFXIV Gil – for an upgrade, it’s about time that you do. Playing Your Cards Right Assuming you’ve kept up with tech developments, you already know that GPUs like GTX970 are no longer cutting-edge like they used to be. Heck, they’re already lower-mid-tier at this point. So even though you don’t really need the latest cards, you might still want to have them if you’re a performance buff. This is because Square Enix wanted players to be able to push the game visuals even further with hardware beyond what the game asks for. Here are the more recent models and how they affect graphics: • GTX1060 3GB or RX580 – highest settings at 1080p with 60 FPS • GTX1070 – highest settings at 1440p with 60 fps • GTX1080Ti – highest settings at 4k with 60 fps No RNG for RAM For the same price of the bleeding-edge GPU in FFXIV’s release, you can now have so much more detail and never-before-reached performance. However, to back this up, you need the best CPUs out there. As a baseline, you now need those that have four or more CPU cores. In this day and age, that’s not exactly difficult to find. And if you buy a Ryzen chip, you’re sure to run the game like a hot knife through warm butter. Other good options include R5 2600 or an i5-8400. But if you want the truly best performance, you owe yourself an i7-8700K. At this point, you might as well get a GTX1080Ti, as well as a super-reliable power source. Last but definitely not least would be RAM. As the recommended specs have suggested, you should have 8GB. Going beyond that won’t help, but it’s definitely not a bad thing either. In the end, RAM speed will also depend on your CPU and motherboard. If you’re getting one of the beefier CPUs out there, you might as well get 8GB or more.
