PlayStation Now closed beta starts this spring in the UK Sony has announced a closed beta for its PlayStation Now service will begin in the UK this spring. Plus member will “be among the first” to use the service, but you will need to register in order to get in on the beta. The tester will open to non-Plus members as the beta progresses. The beat is available on PS4 only and PS Now will initially be free of charge, however; at later stages of the trial rental periods and pricing models will be tested and will require payment. This week it became clear that Sony is releasing a suspend and resume function for the PS4 which will be included with the upcoming 2.50 ‘Yukimura’ firmware update. The feature makes it possible to ‘suspend’ your PS4 while playing a game. This suspend feature can be seen as some sort of sleep function which allows players to (almost) instantly continue their game after resuming. Although no release date for the firmware has been revealed yet, a Reddit User by the name Mushroomwig has posted a Youtube video on Reddit claiming to show off the Suspend and Resume function running on the PS4. The video itself is property of KMG90. If the video is to be believed suspending and resuming works amazingly fast – according to the video the game resumes in less than 10 seconds.
