Šio prietaiso versija "Xbox 360" žaidimų konsolėms parduotuvėse atsirado dar praėjusių metų lapkritį. "Kinect" reikalauja gan nemažai kompiuterio resursų - norintiems naudotis šiuo įrenginiu jums reikia bent dviejų branduolių 2.66 GHz dažniu dirbantį procesorių, 2 GB RAM atminties bei "Windows 7" OS turinčio personalinio kompiuterio. Nors "Windows" sistemai skirtas "Kinect" yra praktiškai toks pat kaip žaidimų konsolėms naudojamas įrenginys, tačiau vakar išleistos produkto versijos nepalaiko "Xbox 360" konsolė ir atvirkščiai. Be to, kitaip nei "Xbox" pritaikytame variante, pakuotėje nėra žaidimo ar programos, galinčios pademonstruoti "Kinect" galimybes. Šiuo metu "Kinect" yra pasiekiamas Australijos, Kanados, Prancūzijos, Vokietijos, Italijos, Airijos, Japonijos, Meksikos, Naujosios Zelandijos, Ispanijos, Jungtinės Karalystės bei JAV gyventojams. Pastarojoje valstybėje prietaiso kaina siekia 250 dolerių. Lietuvos gyventojams nusivilti neverta - teigiama, kad netrukus "Kinect" atsiras ir daugelių kitų šalių parduotuvėse.

Mass Effect 3's demo includes access to Xbox Live Gold, enabling all players to sample the game's online multiplayer. Microsoft will provide a limited time Gold subscription with the download, BioWare confirmed via its official forum. BioWare did not explain specifics, but presumably players will be granted temporary Gold access via a code included in the demo, redeemable for a short-term period of online play. Whether this offer will affect Microsoft's usual policy of limiting Xbox Live demos to Gold members during their first week of release was also not mentioned. BioWare's Mass Effect 3 demo is scheduled to hit Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC on 14th February. It also includes a single-player mission from the start of the game's campaign where the dreaded Reapers invade Earth. Gamers who have activated Battlefield 3's online pass get access to the demo's multiplayer offering straight away. Everyone else can join in on 17th February, three days later. So if you've never played Battlefield 3 online, don't redeem your free Xbox Live until then. Mass Effect 3 arrives in stores on 9th March.

Gotham City Imposters has a new release date again. It launches on 7th February on Windows PC and 8th February on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. Why, that's next week! Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive had originally intended to release the title on PC, PSN and Xbox Live on 10th January, but it was delayed without explanation. Gotham City Impostors is a multiplayer downloadable FPS from F.E.A.R. developer Monolith Productions. You don't actually play as Batman but as a customisable "imposter" of one of the characters from either Batman's wider circle of friends or The Joker's motley crew.

Sega has launched new games in both the Shinobi and Sonic series for 3DS during the past year, so it makes sense to start mining the back catalogue with these. Both games were rated "E for Everyone", with Shinobi featuring "animated violence".
