There are many benefits to paying a visit to the Mage Training Arena.
There's a wealth of places for us to visit in Old School Runescape that can benefit your skills. There's also a number of minigames that we can participate in too, one of which we will be discussing right here. In this instance, we'll be looking at the Mage Training Arena, which has another form of currency to earn rather than OSRS gold.
About the Mage Training Arena
In OSRS, the Mage Training Arena is a minigame that is available to members only. To find it, you simply have to go to the Duel Arena then go north. When you are here, you'll have the opportunity to use spells. By doing so, rather than earning OSRS gp, you will instead get pizazz points. These pizazz points are available in differing minigames. By collecting these points, you can then go and spend them to buy OSRS items for sale.
You can find the shop where you can spend your pizazz points on the arena's top floor. Before we do continue, it's probably worth mentioning that this isn't the Mage Arena itself, as that is a different kind of minigame altogether. In fact, you should probably be a lot more prepared for the Mage Arena, as that is a deadly minigame out in the Wilderness.
Will You Need to Bring Runes?
If you're going to be participating in the Mage Training Arena's activities, then you won't be looking for SORS gold for sale. Rather, we're going to need runes if this is going to work properly. The runes that you should take with you include every type of elemental rune that there is. If you can't get this, then have the staves that are able to work in their place. You should also take cosmic runes, law runes and nature runes too.
Requirements for Mage Training Arena
Going to the Mage Training Arena isn't just as simple as walking straight up to the door and knocking. There is some requirements that we will need to have met before we can take part in this minigame. The first is that we need to be at level 7 magic. This is the minimum requirement, though you will actually only have access to one spell. However, if you get your magic level up to 33, then you can take part in every one of the four activities on offer here. To use every spell available in every area, then you'll need to reach level 93 magic. Having a higher level of magic is going to earn you more XP points as well, so it's worth investing some time into.
That isn't the only requirement either, as you'll also need to have a progress hat in your inventory, or be wearing it. To get this, go over to the Entrance Guardian. Speaking with the cranky progress hat is a way in which you can get totals of pizazz points from each of the arena's rooms.
Mage Training Arena Rewards
When you have finished earning as many pizazz points as possible, you can then head upstairs to spend your points in the shop. You'll have the choice of purchasing everything from wands, runes, the mage's book, infinity robes, and even spells. If you've been struggling to get to grips with the arena then there is the option to buy an arena book for 200 OSRS gold. You're not going to have to exactly break the bank and buy OSRS gold to pay for the book, but it's still valuable if you find yourself getting stuck.
For players that would like to earn the amount of points needed to buy everything in the shop, you willl need to be ready to go through a lot of runes. In total, you will require 13000 nature runes, 4682 law runes, and anything from 2000 to 6000 cosmic runes. This will depend on what enchantment spell is used and what level it is at.
Keep in mind that these amounts are based on staves being used for the cost of the elemental runes. It's also based on no free casts being used when in the Alchemist Playground section of the arena, and that you're getting a graveyard point for every time you cast bones to bananas. Overall, you're looking at spending over 4,000,000 OSRS gold potentially on the runes. If you'd like to buy OSRS gold to afford this, make sure to find a trusted OSRS gold selling website.
