Overview
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a sci-fi historical-fantasy first-person shooter developed by MachineGames and Arkane Studios (with Panic Button for the Switch version) and published by Bethesda for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 25, 2019. It was later released for Google Stadia (as a launch title) on November 19, 2019.
A spin-off of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Youngblood takes place in an alternate-historical 1980, nineteen years after William "B.J." Blazkowicz and the Kreisau Circle began the liberation of the United States of America from Nazi occupation. When Blazkowicz disappears without a trace, his twin daughters (Jess and Soph) must travel to Nazi-occupied Neu-Paris to join their resistance forces and find their father's whereabouts.
The game features two-player co-operative multiplayer, with each player controlling one of the two Blazkowicz sisters. Players can optionally play the game solo, with the un-selected sister being computer-controlled. Youngblood also includes an open-world system (with side missions) and an experience system, as well as a standalone expansion for the "Wolfstone 3D" mini-game (a modified version of the original Wolfenstein 3D).
The game itself received a VR-focused spin-off released at the same time, titled Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot.
