Overview
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the popular Japanese magazine Weekly Shounen Jump, Jump Force is being developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment with a targeted release date in February 2019. The game will feature a large crossover of popular characters from various Shounen Jump manga, along with a handful of original characters designed by Akira Toriyama, creator of the Dragon Ball franchise.
Bandai Namco announced that the game would be delisted from digital storefronts after February 7, 2022, and that they would shut down online functionality through Bandai Namco servers on August 24 of the same year. Players would still be able to play offline modes and friendly PvP matches, but no further support will be forthcoming.
Plot
A mysterious figure has merged the various worlds of Shounen Jump into the "real" world as we know it. A man named Director Glover, with the help of his trusty Navigator, forms the J-Force to uncover the source behind this incident and restore everyone to their correct world.
Characters
Players may craft their own character to use with the looks and movesets of multiple existing characters.
44 characters from from 16 different series are available to play as, as well as 2 more original Jump Force characters.
