PS4 2.50 update adds suspend/resume feature

SCE has begun a new PlayStation 4 system software beta testing program for its PlayStation MVP Program members, and details on firmware update version 2.50, now in beta testing, have leaked.

The main feature of the 2.50 update is the long-awaited suspend/resume feature first announced at PlayStation 4’s reveal press conference in February last year.

Main Features

• The system can now enter rest mode without closing any applications. You can adjust this setting in [Power Save Settings] > [set Functions Available in Rest Mode].
• [Accessibility] has been added to [settings]. You can adjust accessibility settings such as zooming and button assignments
• Delete trophies with zero percent.
• Search trophy details on the internet, including screenshots of scenes with trophies.
• SharePlay at 60 frames per second.
• Share trophy details and screenshots

The eagerly anticipated Suspend & Resume mode along with a bunch of other cool features for the Playstation 4 could be in the 2.50 firmware update if leaked images by a twitter user supposedly beta testing the update is to be believed.

[uPDATE 1]: Rumours are now pointing to the 2.50 update releasing sometime towards the end of March or beginning or April.

[uPDATE 2]: New rumours have surfaced from twitter user @isaparrot about a few other features in the 2.50 update, which are worth mentioning. One of them being External HDD support,

"If you highlight a trophy and hit the option button,there is a "search Internet" option, does a Google search and leads to trophy guides."

"Suspend/Resume while watching Netflix. The PS4 will pick up where your watching and not just reboot the entire app. It's really in memory."

"From the quick menu under power options a restart ps4 option was added. I believe there was previously only an option to turn off or rest"
