- Called ‘Sonic Generations’
- Play as classic 1991 Sonic or modern day Sonic
- For Xbox 360 and Playstation 3
- Set across three ‘defining eras’ from Sonic’s history
- All locations rebuilt in HD
- All locations playable in 2D sidescrolling view and modern 3D style
- Spin Dash and Spin Attack used by classic Sonic
- Homing Attack and Sonic Boost used by modern Sonic
- ‘Favorite characters and hidden treasures’ throughout the game
- “Sonic’s universe is thrown into chaos when a mysterious new power creates ‘time holes’ which pull him and his friends back through time. As a result, he encounters some surprises from his past history including Classic Sonic, Sonic as he was in 1991.”

“When developing the game we tried to capture everything that is quintessentially Sonic throughout his 20 years history. Over the 20 years there have been many types of Sonic fans, some who enjoy the classic 2D Sonic and some who would prefer the modern 3D Sonic.
