PSP 5.50 GEN-C

First, we present our apologies for this release which cause more problems than we had expected. To be honest, in our tests made at the same way as other times, we had very good results, but some factors intervened between the announcement of the release and this one. We are going to try to explain you the reasons of this bad release.

Firstly, the original version which should be posted was ready for this announce, but to be sure that all was working, we had given 24 hours of additional tests to verify that everything was working well. This first release was not able to launch the protected games but all games with 5.55 +. During this time, Yoshihiro found how we can counter the protections, so we decided to announce it and, therefore, to modify the original release. Here is our mistake ... if everything was working in our tests, some protections of our CFW put the mess under certain conditions and also depending on the model of PSP. Moreover, not to delay the release of our CFW, we put online the 5.50 GEN-C, without giving it a long period of test. Accept our apologies for that.

For our defense, there is several types of error, and some aren't attribuable to us :

* You have a black screen when you launch the updater
You are in Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-B, but not B-2. Update your CFW, and the problem will be resoled.
* You have a semi-brick ("I just have the clock displayed...")
You had a custom theme set and you had to format the flash1 via recovery menu. When you flash a console, one of the first rules is not to have a custom theme ... but nothing serious. If you can go to the recovery or if you reboot without memory card, it's good.
* You bricked your console
The installer of the CFW 5.50 GEN don't have any bug, and our CFW can't be directly responsible for that. Everything is working 200 %, you can be sure of that. Clearly, note that if you bricked your console, it's probably due to a failure of your nand which would occure at any other attempt of flash, including an official.

Note that GENyUS and Yoshihiro are currently working for fix this mistake, and they are going to release the Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D when everything will be validated and verified. It should not be long, and again, be sure that we are sorry for this panic.

Changelog:
* Ability to run 5.51 + games without having to patch (UMD or ISO)
* Ability to run protected games like Soul Calibur or FMA example (UMD or ISO)
* Possibility to launch demos PSN requiring 5.51 + without having to patch them as AMS
* Connection via PSN MEDIAGO without having to install complicated utility (option in beta yet)
* Possibility to use the XGEN Updater to install the official firmware 6.10 (For use only if you have a Pandora XGEN handy to be able to return later in Custom firmware.

Known bugs:
* IRShell can no longer launch ISO patch but the patch will be released in a few minutes
* Video playback 480x272 raises concerns but a fix is being studied.
* The option to accelerate the reading of MS is being ported to 5.50GEN.
