* Physics engine allows for a better difference between how RWD and AWD vehicles work in game.

* Club rating, car clubs can be rated by stars.

* 175 cars, 99 houses, 195 pieces of clothes, 154 pieces of furniture and 8 licenses.

* Ability to use Airport to commute between Ibiza and Oahu.

* Oahu has had graphical adjustments for the day cycle and dynamic weather.

* Missions on Oahu have been revised.

* New routes including off-road have been added to Oahu.

* Day and Night cycle(2:30 hour cycle)(Online everyone shares same cycle)

* Dynamic Weather, Rain Storms.

* Out of car mode, walk around in shared spaces including car clubs.

* Customize your cars exterior and interior(Paint job, Decals, interiors and trims.)

* Cars can now be damage cosmetically.

* Bookmark parts of the map for instant transportation(Just like TDU1.)

* Customize your character(Hair, clothes, physique and attitude.)

* Buy your dream house, yacht or even night club(furnish and decorate it also.)

* Passengers, friends can ride with you no matter what your doing.

* Off-road treasure hunts including finding old wrecks that unlock cars in your garage.

* Completely rebuilt handling system for the ground up.

* Car clubs invest money into car club exclusive vehicles and bigger car clubs.

* Customized cars look the same to every on and offline.

* Off-road 4×4 vehicles to be included in the game.

* Off-road terrain shares as much detail as on road will.

* Car will gather mud and dirt by going off road.

* Ability to steal money from rival car clubs.

* Bikes will not make it into the game until after launch.

* DLC will not just be Car Packs and will listen closely to the community as far as what will be released after the launch of the game.

 

With all going well Test Drive Unlimited will be released September 24, 2010.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 Delayed

Test Drive Unlimited 2 has stuttered on its way to the shelves as Atari has put the open world racer back to the beginning of 2011, just beyond its scheduled launch date of September this year.

 

Developed by Eden Games, Test Drive Unlimited 2 is the sequel to one of this generation's very first racers, an open world game with all-inclusive online options, a suite of supercars and hundreds of miles of Hawaiian road to pound. The follow-up moves to Ibiza, introducing day and night cycles, a full weather system and improved visuals and handling.

 

The delay has been caused as Eden and Atari get their chamois leathers out and give Test Drive Unlimited 2 as much polish as possible. We went hands-on with it recently and will be bringing you full impressions early next week.

Eden and Atari are announcing today that the release date of Test Drive Unlimited 2 is being moved back to Q1 2011. We wanted to take some time to talk to you specifically, our community and fans, and explain why this is and what it means for you.

Atari has announced the European Test Drive Unlimited 2 launch date as 11th February. That's for all formats: PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

 

Pre-order the free-wheeling racing game and you'll get some goodies. Buy from GAME, Amazon, HMV, Play or ASDA and you'll get the Casino downloadable add-on for free. (Please note that the shops' websites won't reflect this until 9am this morning.)

 

The Casino provides you with a place to level-up and bet and win money. Even items and exclusive cars can be found there: the Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 Quattro and the Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder.

 

Pre-orders will also get early access to some very fancy cars. At GAME you'll get first dibs on a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Supersport; at Amazon you'll get the Caterham Superlight R500; at ASDA an Audi RS 5 Coupe - I never thought I'd write that; and at HMV a Ferrari 612 Sessanta.

 

Play, meanwhile, has a Carbon Black model upgrade for the Aston Martin V12 Vantage; Gamestation has a Carbon Black Aston Martin DBS; and various independent retailers have a Cameo Synergy Special Edition.

 

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is based on a tropical island where rich people live. You'll be one of them, and you'll stuff a garage full of gaudy racing cars and build a house fit for a king on top of it. The big addition for the sequel in this that you can get out of the car and explore the island.
