Sveiki, esu įsirašęs non-steam Half-life 2 ir noriu pažaist kokius nors mod'us. Bet gaila HL2 nebėra skilties "Change game" pagrindiniam meniu kaip buvo su half-life 1, taigi norėjau paklaust kaip po velnių man pažaist tuos modus? Butų geriau kad paaiškintumėte kaip tai padaryti be steam, nes man jis lagina kompą

Neotokyo is Launching on Friday

Highly anticipated Half-Life 2 mod Neotokyo is launching on Friday. It will, of course, be a free download for anyone who's already purchased Half-Life 2, and will be available on their website, located here. It's been described by some as a game that "took a bunch of concept from Ghosts in a Shell and slapped them into Source." And no, that isn't a bad thing. Ten maps will be made available at launch, all sporting the "Capture the Ghost" mode. It's like capture the flag, except with a manikin body, which is sort of awesome. There's no time given yet, but the 900MB zip file will pop up sometime on Friday.

 

There's a trailer below for anyone unconvinced that "free" is cheap enough, and it might be the best edited trailer for a mod I've ever seen. Seriously, check it out, you'll be drooling in no time.

*Note to server administrators for NEOTOKYO: We are only supporting windows servers initially, ...we do not have linux support right now. We will support linux as soon as we can get to it. Some helpful information about the release...

- Neotokyo will be available for download at various sites and torrent.

- Download links will be released in our irc #neotokyo on gamesurge network during our release party. Then posted here and elsewhere.

- This first public release will contain 10 maps total ...all capture the ghost gametype.

- We recommend max 24 player slots. (9v9 to 12v12 are best as far as gameplay and flow). 32 players is fun but a bit spammy.

- Total size of the installer is about 900megs and unzipped is 2gigs.

- In order to run NEOTOKYO, you need to have any game that gives you the source sdk base installed.

What i did NOT replace:

-Ambient noises like wind.

-some zombie voices.

-character voices (it would sound dumb).

-maybe i missed some minor physics like a trap door hidden somewhere in ravenholm and no one ever opens it.

Totally i replaced 1327 sound files.
