Well the wait is over and we finally have the successor to the famous Infectus modchip, the latest and greatest mod chip to date from Team Infectus is here. The Infectus 2 like the former model from the team is a universal mod chip and programmer for all most all consoles in the market. It can be used on PS2, Wii, Xbox 360 as a mod chip or also as a nand programmer and more. Right now we would have to say the most popular use for the Infectus mod chip would be for Xbox 360 and the just recently added support for the Wii. Because of the release of Argon, we mainly see its primary use being for the Xbox 360. The Infectus range are the first chips in history to function on more then one brand of console, this feet alone deserves some respect. The guys at team Infectus really are a talented bunch of guys that help pioneer the industry in many ways. We have not doubt the guy will get the Infectus 2 modchip working on PS3 this year, and possibly some very cool stuff with Xbox 360 Nand flashing. The primary use for Infectus 2 on Xbox 360 right now is as a drive chip similar to the NME range, which is a good thing as it’s nice to have a choice between chips when really there is so few on the market. But don’t be mistaken, these puppy’s are a lot harder to install on the 360 then the NME, but with saying that, if you just wanted a standard chip you probably would not be reading this page anyway.       The Infectus 2 mod chip is not really for the faint hearted, apart from its basic drive mod feature for the 360 it has some very interesting and geeky features that boarder line on development and also service related. These chips can be used as a nand flasher that will allow you to backdate your 360’s main motherboard bios which is stored on a protected Nand flash ram chip. This we are sure will become and ever bigger feature then the drive mod once development of homebrew software & custom dashboards start using the 4532 or 4548 360 biose’s to run. These bios are known to have back doors that could lead to homebrew software such as media centres being able to be booted on the 360. With a little luck we could all be soon running media centres on the 360 in the fashion we were able to on the Xbox. This is all still being worked on, but with Infectus 2 it is now possible to backdate the nand bios on the motherboards.       The Infectus 2 also comes with a special programmer designed to allow you to update the firmware running on the chips. This is how it is possible to turn it from a 360 chip into a PS2 chip, simply upload the firmware for the console you wish to install into and away you go. This programmer is also important when firmware updates are released for the console you have installed into, you simply plug the infectus 2 into it’s programmer and update to the latest version of their firmware for your console. We wont go on to much more about it, as this page is long enough already, but you can see from the features and uses above for the chips are by no means a single purpose unit, they range from being just a simple drive mod, to being an invaluable service tool for people that repair consoles for a living, to even a developer tool. We feel safe to say that you really can’t go wrong if using this chip.

The Infectus X360 CPU Time Attack Add on PCB is a board that is designed to fit neatly on the Infectus 1 & 2 chips to give you access to X360 CPU Time Attack function which will allow such functions as Dashboard downgrading. This will open up the door for alternative dashboards to be created and eventually much more. Right now with this add on board you can downgrade current 360 dashboards or install custom ones, it will also allow you to change the serial number of your console, and last but not least, let you change the DVD drive key stored in the Nand bios. The last feature is going to be very important to repair shops out there replacing customer’s failed DVD drives.       In some cases the DVD key on the drive could be lost due to a bad flash, or because the drive burnt out and took the bios chip with it. You will now be able to read the DVD drive key from the motherboards Nand bios and then imbed this into a new drive. Before this if the DVD key was lost on the drive, there was nothing you could do with that console and it would be rendered totally useless, now its possible to bring these bricked 360 back to life again. If you are a shop front that does a lot of 360 repairs or just someone that really wants to play around with their 360’s motherboard bios, this little addon board is a must to have lying around.

Aš manyčiau, kad XBL unban gali kainuot puse arba tiek pat kiek už xbox sumokat, taip kad čia man atrodo tik, kad prirašytos geros, bet tuščios mintys ir tiek(atrodo paaiškinama, bet rezutatų nėra).
